Heat Bending
Heat bending, also referred to as strip heating or line bending, is part of the thermoforming process where the plastic is heated to a specific temperature and re-formed. This heat bending process is used with a variety of types of plastics, particularly acrylic, where it is often used to manufacture point-of-purchase displays.
Heat bending thermoformed plastic requires knowledge and understanding the thermoplastic's natural properties.
